Epoch is made by Wundermade. We built Epoch to be private by default. This policy explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use the app.
The short version: Your milestones stay on your device and in your own iCloud account. We can't see them, and we never collect, sell, or share your personal information.
Your milestones
Everything you create in Epoch — the names, dates, emoji, and colors of your milestones — is stored on your device and synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. This data lives in your private iCloud space. Wundermade has no access to it and never receives a copy.
Because syncing is handled by iCloud, your use of it is also covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can manage or delete this data at any time from your device or your iCloud settings.
No account required
Epoch does not ask you to create an account, sign in, or provide your name, email address, or any other personal details. We don't have a user database, because there's nothing to put in it.
Notifications
Epoch can send you optional reminders for the milestones you choose. These are local notifications, scheduled entirely on your device by iOS — they are never sent through, or routed by, any Wundermade server. A reminder includes only the milestone's name and emoji that you set. Notifications are off by default, and you can turn them off at any time, per milestone or for the whole app, in Epoch's settings or in iOS Settings.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how Epoch is used and to fix problems, the app records a small amount of anonymous, aggregated usage information through TelemetryDeck, a privacy-focused analytics service.
This is limited to non-identifying signals such as when a milestone is created, edited, or deleted, and which display options are used. It contains no personal information and no milestone content. TelemetryDeck does not use advertising identifiers (IDFA), does not track you across other apps or websites, and processes data in a way designed to comply with GDPR. You can't be identified from this data.
This website
This website uses a lightweight, privacy-respecting analytics script to count visits. It does not use advertising cookies and does not build a profile of you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We don't share your milestones with third parties.
- We don't show ads or use advertising trackers.
- We don't collect your location, contacts, or photos.
Children
Epoch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Epoch after a change means you accept the updated policy.
